This was actually one of the first props we dug out and still one of the favorites of the Propworx crew.  Used throughout the show, starting with the final scenes of the miniseries, this prop had an enormous amount of work put into it and looks absolutely spectacular.

The case is custom metal work that holds a fabric scroll that rolls out of the case.  It is incredibly detailed and you can imagine the amount of work that went into designing and fabricating something so intricate.  The scroll part was also custom made with ancient writings from Kobol printed on it.  In this lot we include an original concept sketch of the scroll and laser color copies of several pre-production design sketches of the scroll and the lettering that was created to look like it was from ancient Kobol.

We first see Elosha, the priestess, holding this scroll in the open position at the funeral scene at the end of the miniseries and so it is very memorable.  It is then used at the swearing in of Baltar as President at the end of Season Two.  It was also used in the season three episode “Torn” where Gaeta is trying to extrapolate from Baltar’s work the location of Earth.

This is truly one of the premier props we have and I highly recommend hard core collectors take a serious look at this!

Throughout Galactica (and the other battlestars, on the occasions that their interiors have been seen) one will note various color coded binders.

One such set is lot 622 in the auction, which is a compilation of 9 different types of Galactica binders.

Mostly, the silver spine binders will be found in CIC. The red spine binders are typically found in the married quarters, such as Colonel Tigh’s or the Agathon’s. Clear gray and black spines are more rare, and typically dress other sets, and the yellow spine binders are found in CIC or the Hangar Bay (depending, of course, on how they’re stickered). The FTL binder is also rare and meant for looking up the processes and minutae of the ship’s FTL system.

The Munitions binder, which is the red binder with the yellow decals on the spine, is briefly seen in the Miniseries as Tigh looks at the manifest for Ragnar Anchorage. (And, yes, the binder does have the inventory sheets from Ragnar Anchorage in it.)

Originally, Colonel Tigh poured alcohol in a metal cup, as seen in the Miniseries. However, later on he resorts to hiding his alcohol needing tendencies by hiding his flask in a holster around his left leg, just above his boot.

The flask, which also features a small area for Tigh to put a few cigarettes in, is a 5.5 oz bottle capable of handling ambrosia or the like.

There are stunt rubber versions of this flask, which were used in scenes when the prop had to be thrown, such as down one of the corridors in Season 2′s “Resistance” after interrogating Galen Tyrol.

Later, this console makes a fleeting appearance in Valkyrie‘s CIC in Season 3′s “Hero” during the flashback sequences when Commander William Adama (wearing Admiral’s pins, nonetheless!) is on his secret mission to the Armistice Line a year before the Fall of the Twelve Colonies.

In fact, since the appearance was so fleeting, you can see an exclusive never-before-seen photo of Valkyrie‘s CIC.

... because it's just a redressed version of Pegasus's CIC set, which you see above. Voila! Magic!

The console consists of four pieces: a wireless multimedia keyboard, an LCD screen, a non-functioning dummy telephone, and a gimmicky speaker panel made from a severely economical phone answering machine. The console includes the VGA and power cable for the monitor, but not the wireless receiver for the keyboard.

As a result, Crashdown decides to attack these emplacements, so that any rescue attempt from Galactica can be successful. In planning it, he uses a technique taught during basic training called the “five-’graph order”, which he outlines on a notepad and presents to the survivors, who will be the ones executing his attack plan.

Despite the by-the-book planning, the attack does not end well, particularly when Crashdown has to threaten people at gunpoint so that it may be executed.

When presented with the transfer orders in Commander Adama’s office, Kara Thrace and Lee Adama react unfavorably to the orders, but ultimately follow them. The orders themselves are never seen on screen as they are being held in their hands, until now.

We’ll focus on Cally, since she’s dead. As seen in the picture below, she’s wearing a helmet (along with Prosna and Chief Tyrol) when repairing Starbuck’s Viper.

In order to save the ship, Sharon cuts a fiber optic connection to the ship and then cuts an opening in the palm of her hand, so as to access Galactica‘s systems, hoping to contain the virus while Dr. Gaius Baltar and Junior Lieutenant Felix Gaeta simultaneously wipe the ship’s hard drives. In order to cut open her hand, Sharon asks Dualla for the knife that Dualla received from her father. Despite the argument that Dualla had with her father before the Fall of the Twelve Colonies (as she herself reveals in her interview to D’Anna Biers in “Final Cut“, Dualla carries this knife with her, which she gives to Sharon at Commander Adama‘s behest.

Now that hopefully everyone has read it, we’re continuing with our series of “paper” props that are pretty frakking awesome. These paper props should be interesting, considering that this is an election year in the United States, and some of you have seen some smear campaigns and the word “change” bandied about indiscriminately.

In the Galactica universe, the two-parter for the Season 2 finale, “Lay Down Your Burdens“, sees Baltar running for president. As we see before the debates, Baltar is in his lab, where he is surrounded by stacks of flyers and pamphlets for his presidential bid. Here are a few pieces from that set… and some pieces that we can see later on after his successful bid, particularly the stuff in Gina‘s quarters on Cloud Nine.
