Tonights the Night!
July 7, 2009
Yup, never fear, the auctions will go up starting tonight at 10pm eastern standard time. Lots of goodies for you all, and really really not much left, so get bidding! Also, dont forget to check the store for lots of buy it now goodness, we have alot of cool stuff up there, dont miss out! The Cylon War painting and Auction Two patches are still able to be ordered as well, but are running out quickly. Time is of the essence people!
So the fun item of the week is a set of Cylon handcuffs, the locking kind! So if you havent figured me out yet, I had to try this (after locking damian in them and making him first lol) and getting out of these cuffs is tough! Especially if someone (damian) locks yours really tight and you cant move at all!
These cuffs are from “Home part 2″ and were marked as backups, so its unknown if they were used on screen. They are very heavily weathered and come with a key (dont loose it!!) so you can do what you will with them, and still get out after! Cool yes? We thought so, we even had Kellie from shipping give it a go!
Hope you all had a great fun filled fourth of July, we all sure did! We are back in our offices and shipping is rolling on the orders so if you havent paid, you need to get on that quick! If you have any questions related to shipping, combining shipping, how to pack things awesome, please contact curtis at support@propworx.com. Until next time! Erin
Storyboards are Frakking Cool
June 29, 2009
Ok, so I know the title says it all, but I’m going to keep going anyway. These storyboards are cool because 1. I say so. 2. They are done in pencil, and are one of a kind! 3. I frakking say so, did I say that yet? 4. These storyboards are of Anders setting up a makeshift explosive detonator in an underground carpark, just waiting for unsuspecting Cylons to walk in.
There are nine pages of this set of storyboards (There are more storyboards in the ebay auction, and a few more in the store, go look!!) and I’m going to describe a few for you guys, just incase looking at the pictures isnt cool enough. So on page two we have a very intense looking pencil Anders setting this detonator line to a battery, and then running like hell to cover. Thankfully, incase you cant tell that from the picture, there is a small caption of “Anders sets bomb” to let you know. Those artists were smart!
Moving on we have Anders doing sneeky eye through a car window as a Cylon walks through the carpark. We again have awesome narration by the Artists with, “Centurion moves behind car” written below the picture. The Centurion then moves from behind the car and looks around, Oh crap, he sees the bomb! He walks his CGI self over to the bomb and leans down to inspect the fuse.
The Cylon, being all advanced and everything, takes time to note the almost burned out cigarette…right before it blows him straight to Cylon hell. I will give a half point back to him though, he was distracted by the bomb that would almost certainly kill him by Anders cocking his gun, which would probably dent his armor (or you know, make it dirty, scratches!) and not harm him at all. That Cylon superbrain was really slacking that day. Look at this guy, he’s going for the terminator look, and then..
My favourite of all the storybaords, BOOM!!! Would you like some explosive with your Cylon chunks? Yes please!
General Insanity and Updates.. yup.
June 11, 2009
Soo first I want to say hello to everyone in my Ask Erin forum, your all insane, really really insane, but I like you anywho. Most of the time.
Second, guess what? There are only FOUR WEEKS OF AUCTIONS LEFT!!! Thats right, after this week we start the countdown, so get it now or watch it go out the airlock! I really cant believe we are almost done here, as this has been such a great experience. I’m going to miss reading your crazy comments and getting all of your emails, even the crazy people. (well maybe not so much.. ) Ok, enough of that mushy stuff!
News on the shipping front: Curtis, our shipping manager has put quite the dent into sending out live auction stuff, so if you havent paid, get on it so you can get your props! Also, I know some of you were concerned about your ebay items from about two weeks back, fear not, your stuff is on the way, shipping is moving between live and ebay, so they are busy, but are keeping up!
On the ebay store: More items will be up soon, a smaller number, but cooler stuff! Also, the Cylon War paintings and auction two patches will be making an apperance there as well. Remember These are a limited edition, get one before they are gone! I myself would bring one of the Cylon paintings to Dragoncon* as it looks like a great place to have it signed, a large part of the cast will be there!
Admiral Adama’s Dog Tags
June 4, 2009
Hey guys, before I get to the awesome that is the Adama tags, first I want to let you know we are still apparently having a few email glitches, so if your responses are slow that’s why. You all know I love chatting with you so dont think I’m ignoring you! We are working on it but please be patient, we are working on it! In other news, our store will be online in a few hours! How awesome is that?! Have fun but dont forget, we are still doing regular ebay auctions, so keep bidding, it keeps the Battlestar’s lights on!
Now, on to a Blog, which is written by Damian. Adama’s Tags anyone??
Today I came across a treasure… I have to say, one of the coolest things going out this week. Admiral Adama’s Hero Metal Dog Tags. One set of “HERO” metal dog tags on a brass ball chain worn by Admiral William Adama. The serial number and Colonial Phoenix emblem are etched on both tags. Adama is by far one of my favorite characters from any Sci-fi series and to own the dog tags he wore throughout the series would be downright awesome! I am sure these will start an eBay bidding war, and seeing as I am short a few cubits… anyone know how much a kidney goes for on the Cylon black market?Ebay is Back!
May 19, 2009
That’s right, all of you who were wishing/praying/crying, cry no more! We are back with some fantastic auctions, some of which were chosen by you! I had gotten some questions and requests and I’ve done my best to put those items up, so dont let me down guys, lets see the bids!
One of those items requested are Hotdogs tags. Now I originally thought we did not have another set of these, but I went rampaging through the character bins, and voila! Hotdogs hero bin, with a set of tags. Sweet! These are a great set, and the last for Hotdog, so get um while there hot!
Another item I picked special for a few of the girls on the board. That’s right Cain fans, this one is for you! This week we have the gym bag for Helena Cain, Admiral of the Battlestar Pegasus. This gym bag was not shown on screen, but is still a great item for the Cain-atic in your life!
Finally we have a few different paintings by Kara “Starbuck” Thrace, from her time aboard the Demetrius. These are fantastic pieces, some done on canvas, some on file folders, all showing Kara’s growing obsession with finding Earth. She was so engrossed in this mission, she painted on everything, the canvas, the bulkhead, file folders, you name it and she painted on it. Hey, we sold her painted up bdu’s at the live auction, where is that guy/girl? YOU NEED THESE!! See, look how helpful I am! Well, at least I’m not calling his/her house…ooo, good idea..

Anywho, these and more can be yours this week, lets see some good bidding everyone! Remember, how you guys bid influences what I put up, so make sure you get the good stuff up there! Also, I love the chatter I’ve seen on the boards, and I do look for the stuff you guys ask for (see all above stuff!) so keep up the comm traffic! Hope you all had a great weekend, and I look forward to our last few weeks of auctions. So say we all!
Day Two of Bidding! Erin’s Blog
May 9, 2009
Another beautiful morning in sunny Pasadena California, and we are getting ready for day two of bidding! Wh had some fantastic bidders yesterday, and everything from Apollo’s bomber jacket to Starbucks’ Pyramid jacket went for amazing amounts! We are so glad you guys keep logging on and bidding, your making this auction one of the best ever!
Today we are looking forward to props, and we have some great ones for you. Anders broken guitar neck will be up, as well as Starbucks post mutiny dogtags will be up pretty early in the day, be sure to have your baddles ready!
I also wanted to let your guys know how hard our crew is working. Our volunteers wake up early every day and stay to help get everything cleaned up and ready for the next morning, all for the love of the show. If you see any of these guys (the ones in costume) please feel free to give them your thanks!
You can also look forward to seeing Michael HOgan walking around the auction today. Michael played Colonel Saul Tigh on Battlestar Galactica, and is one of our favourite guests. He is a lot of fun to have and we are glad he is back for auction two. I’ll do my best to keep you updated through the day, but our internet has been giving us trouble. You can also catch my updates on twitter, just look for our id: propworx. Good hunting everyone!
Auctions Gone Wild!
May 8, 2009
As promised I’m back with details of last nights’ event. The room was crowded and loud. Everyone was excited to see our guests and to ask questions. Each guest was greeted with loud applause and a smart remark by the moderator.
One of the funniest (and gross) stories came from Grace Park. She talked about the Cylon goo , and how she and Lucy Lawless and Tricia had to share goo. Now I’m sure all of you are thinking, “Hey, Cylon goo, that’s not so bad.” Weeell, apparently there was a lot of hair in the goo. And it stuck to them. I think the funniest part was Trucco’s face getting more and more disgusted as they went on, which made the ladies laugh even harder.
The production Q and A also included presentations from several members of the creative team. They talked about all aspects of the show from editing to sound design. Everyone there agreed that they’d never worked in a more collaborative environment before and it really showed with their camaraderie on set. There were several documentaries, including sound mixing, music, and editing. The music documentary was very interesting and will be featured on the BSG season 4.5 DVD’s. This documentary showed the music while Starbuck jumped the Galactica to Earth.
On to this morning, we started off with the artwork, and while the bidding for these items was not quite as high as last auction, it was still very impressive to watch. The interplay between the auctioneer and the audience was quite fun. As we moved into costumes, things got very exciting! The Six red dress went in the 20 thousand dollar range! Other exciting wins included Boomers Cylon pilot uniform, and Athena’s flightsuit. I hope your all watching auction network because we are just getting started! I leave you with more photographs and I will be back this evening with more information, Good Hunting!
Preview Day Live, Erin’s Blog 2
May 7, 2009
I’m back with another blog live from Auction 2! It’s starting to pick up a bit here, we have quite a few people walking around checking out the props and admiring the ships. I don’t think I said before but we are allowing photo’s to be taken in the Viper mark II, and oh are people excited! There is nothing like climbing into the cockpit and seeing the screen lit up (it does!) and getting to take photo’s. This is one of the reasons I love working at Propworx, we get to share this experience of a lifetime with all of you!!
So I did get to get into the Viper, and HOW cool was that! I think you can tell by looking at the photo, what a dream! Anywho, I just wanted to let you guys know what awesome guests we have with us today, we will be having a panel at 5pm with some of the stars of the show! I hope you all can join us here to see Michael Trucco, Kate Vernon, Grace Park, Lucciana Carro, and Richard Hatch! It should be a lot of fun, I will do my best to get some of the Q &A in here as well as some photo’s for you all.
I also wanted to mention that our Ebay auctions WILL continue. I’ve gotten a lot of emails from you guys who were worried we were done. Fret not! We are taking two weeks off in order to get all of your live auction items out on time, but we do still have a few weeks left for Ebay. Its not over till its over! Keep watching our site and our ebay store for more information.
Another cool thing happening at the auction would be the Lego Vipers and Raptors. We have a crew of very talented people who have created some amazing replica’s of Vipers and Raptors, all out of Legos! I’ll have more on that next time!
On another note, I’d like to let you guys know about a special item we are offering at the auction, a limited edition run of Adama’s Cylon War paintings on canvas has been produced and we are selling them here at the auction. A run of these were originally done for the crew, and now we are offering them to you! Please come on down and get your very own Cylon War painting. Also available are the original patches that were introduced in the second auction catalog, all beautifully done in full color. These are one of a kind keepsakes of your time here at Pasadena.
It looks like Michael Trucco has just arrived, so I will get out there and get you all some photo’s! Good Hunting!!
Preview Day Live, Erin’s Blog 1
May 7, 2009
Good morning from Pasadena! This is Erin blogging live from preview day at the Official Battlestar Galactica auction! I have to say that this place looks incredible. I’ve included a bunch of pictures for all of you who cant be here, I know you will be floored!
Today I will be continuously updating you guys on the goings on here inside the hangerdeck with photo’s, information, and of course, my general ramblings you’ve come to know and love… (you frakking love it, don’t kid yourselves) so be ready for a lot of fun, and get ready to bid!
This morning was quite busy for Propworx, we got up early to give the hanger deck one more good look, making sure every item had its place, and every detail was laid out. We also have a fantastic crew of volunteers that you will see here dressed in costumes, which really add to the scene we’ve set. The costumers are from a fan board called “The Colonial Fleet.” These guys are so professional, they were here last auction, and we are so glad to have them again for a second time. I also want to mention they have made ALL of their own costumes. WOW! They looked so good last auction we had people coming up and asking how they got us to let them wear stuff from the show!
Well, back to the set up, we spent quite a bit of time getting the ships here and put together the last few days, but don’t they look amazing?! I am very much looking forward to climbing into the cockpit of the Viper mark II, which I will tell you all about in an hour or two in the next blog.
Here are some photo’s from the CIC area set up, and our lovely TCF volunteers getting things ready. Don’t worry, I padded them down after they left, the tiny Raptor is safe! (just kidding guys, these are trustworthy frakkers!)
Another very cool piece I’ve been looking forward to seeing for months is the Blackbird. This ship was a huge team effort to put together as you can see, but the finished project is so perfect. Pick this up and you can make a few stealth trips around the local Sol System!
Well that’s all for now, I’ll catch you guys again in an hour. Please feel free to comment, and get on the boards and let me know what you want to see pictures of! Start a thread, lets get some conversation going! What do you hear?

Props of Auction Two, or, Attack of the Cylon Transponder (again)
May 6, 2009
Today we went through the list of props for auction two, and decided what we’d like to fall off the truck. Unfortunately for us that damn Cylon transponder was still under my desk and Alec heard everything. Frak! Well, I figured someone should benefit from my and my staff’s slacking, so here is a list of items we think are worth having.
Another item for your garage guys, number 384, Kara’s crashed viper intake cover – how awesome would it be to hold it up every time someone enters the room and scream “what am I?” Super awesome, that’s how. You could also tell people about the plane crash you survived in the war while eating refried beans from a can made from the Cylon you toasted in combat, but that might be over-kill.
358 – Saul’s eye patch — oh come on, it would be a hit at all the Cylon parties Brother Cavil is always talking about. You could go around telling everybody what kind of man you are, ask people if they hear the music too, or just stare at them with one unblinking gaze. I know of at least one guy who ran around the marriot last years screeming “Its in the frakking walls!” that should be bidding on this. That’s right, I know you all so well I’m calling you out now. Muahahahaha!
Number 533, Gaeta’s Secret Document Envelopes – be part of the resistance! Sneak around your house and leave them in unsuspecting drawers, then flip over your dog’s bowl. Everyone you live with will appreciate the sacrifice you are making, except for your dog, who has decided he’d be better off with cat killer Lampkin.
Lot 505, a Cylon Spy Device – Like I said before, this thing keeps showing up under my desk, please someone buy it and take it home!!
An item that is sure to make a killing is Lot 575, the National Geographic which features an insert on “The mother of Mankind” or as we know her, Hera, that kid that grows really fast. This is a really great item because its easy to display and super recognizable.
So there you have it, five things that didn’t make it into my apartment, and will hopefully make it into one of your homes. Make sure you are registered to bid online at auctionnetwork.com, and please come by and visit our forums at battlestarprops.com to meet up with other fans, chat about the props, and get more information on our auctions. I hope to see you all at the auction, it should be a frakking good time! – Erin
